1. Introduction
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) sets out the rules for using the Athena document intelligence platform (“the Service”), provided by Zeus AI Business Solutions Ltd (trading as Athena).
This AUP forms part of our Terms of Service. By using the Service, you agree to comply with this policy. If you violate this policy, we may suspend or terminate your access in accordance with the Terms of Service.
2. Permitted Use
The Service is designed for lawful business use. You may use the Service to:
- Upload, store, analyse, and search your organisation’s documents and business data.
- Use AI-powered features to extract information, generate summaries, and answer questions about your documents.
- Collaborate with your team members through the Athena chat and workspace features.
- Connect third-party services (Google Drive, OneDrive, SharePoint, etc.) to sync your existing document sources.
- Use the Technical Drawing Intelligence module (if subscribed) to analyse engineering and architectural drawings.
3. Prohibited Content
You must not upload, store, transmit, or process any content through the Service that:
- Is unlawful, fraudulent, or in connection with any illegal activity.
- Is defamatory, obscene, offensive, hateful, discriminatory, or incites violence.
- Infringes the intellectual property rights, trade secrets, or other proprietary rights of any third party.
- Contains personal data that you do not have a lawful basis to process.
- Contains malware, viruses, trojans, worms, spyware, or any other malicious code.
- Contains content that exploits or harms minors in any way.
- Constitutes unsolicited bulk communications (spam).
4. Prohibited Activities
a) Security and Access
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service, other user accounts, or any connected systems.
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service without prior written authorisation.
- Circumvent, disable, or interfere with any security features, access controls, or rate limits.
- Share your account credentials with others, or allow multiple individuals to use a single account.
b) Reverse Engineering and Competition
- Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code or algorithms of the Service.
- Use the Service to develop, train, or improve a competing product or service.
- Systematically extract, scrape, or harvest data from the Service, except through our documented APIs for your own data.
- Benchmark or performance-test the Service for competitive purposes without our prior written consent.
c) System Integrity
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity, performance, or availability of the Service.
- Impose an unreasonable or disproportionately large load on our infrastructure through automated scripts or excessive API usage.
- Attempt to modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works of any part of the Service.
d) Resale and Redistribution
- Resell, sublicence, lease, or redistribute access to the Service without our prior written consent.
- Frame, mirror, or replicate any part of the Service on any other server or web-based device.
- Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices.
e) AI-Specific Restrictions
- Use the Service’s AI features to generate content that is intentionally misleading, deceptive, or designed to impersonate individuals or organisations.
- Use AI features for purposes unrelated to your legitimate business document analysis needs (such as bulk content generation for SEO manipulation).
- Attempt to extract or reconstruct the underlying AI model weights, parameters, or training data through the Service.
5. Fair Usage
Our subscription plans include generous usage allowances. However, we reserve the right to implement fair usage limits to ensure consistent performance for all customers. If your usage significantly exceeds normal patterns, we will contact you to discuss your requirements before taking any action.
6. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any use of the Service that violates this policy, please report it to us at lee@askathena-ai.co.uk. You can also report security vulnerabilities to the same email address. We appreciate responsible disclosure.
7. Consequences of Violation
If we determine that you have violated this AUP, we may:
- Issue a written warning identifying the violation.
- Temporarily suspend your access to the Service while we investigate.
- Remove or disable access to content that violates this policy.
- Permanently terminate your account and access to the Service.
- Report the activity to relevant law enforcement authorities where we believe a criminal offence has been or may be committed.
Where possible, we will provide notice before taking action and give you the opportunity to remedy the violation.
